In Zhushan, nestled in the northern Alishan mountain range, LIN,JIA-HONG has taken up the mantle of Yuan Tai Bamboo Craft, a factory with over 30 years of legacy now facing the challenges of a declining industry. With bamboo needles and chopsticks being replaced by plastic, Chia-Hung refused to let tradition fade. Instead, he reignited his passion for bamboo, determined to bring it back into everyday life.
Within a 50-ping (165㎡) workshop, he pioneered Taiwan’s first bamboo toothbrush and bamboo straw, offering consumers a natural, eco-friendly alternative. As an avid hiker and camper, he embraces the principles of circular economy and zero waste, ensuring that his creations are not only sustainable but also beautifully designed and highly functional.
For Chia-Hung, bamboo craftsmanship is more than just a trade—it’s a pursuit of a better, greener lifestyle, driven by a simple philosophy: "Feel Good."
