The Nantou County Government Youth Development Office launched the "Youth Employment Incentive Program" on June 10, 2025, to encourage young people to stay, return to, or relocate to Nantou for employment, assist businesses in stabilizing their workforce, and attract and retain outstanding young talent. Since its inception, the program has received an enthusiastic response from young people, with applications pouring in. As of now, the annual budget has been fully utilized. To ensure fairness and financial control, applications are officially closed today.
This program is for young people aged 18 to 29 who are registered residents of Nantou County and are not currently enrolled in school. Those who have been continuously employed by the same business in the county for more than three months are eligible to apply for the employment incentive. The incentive is divided into two phases, each with a bonus of NT$6,000, with a maximum of NT$12,000. Through this incentive measure, the county government hopes to encourage young people to secure stable employment and accumulate work experience, while simultaneously helping businesses reduce employee turnover and jointly promoting the sustainable development of local industries in Nantou.
Since its launch, the program has helped numerous young people successfully transition into the workforce, yielding significant results. However, due to annual budget constraints and to maintain fairness in administrative procedures, new applications for this year's incentive program will be suspended effective immediately. Any future budget adjustments or program continuation will be announced separately. The public is advised to check the Nantou County Government website and the Youth Development Institute's Facebook page for relevant information.
The Youth Development Institute expresses its sincere gratitude to all young people and businesses for their support and cooperation with this program. It also urges young people still seeking employment or entrepreneurship opportunities to continue utilizing resources from the county government and the Ministry of Labor, such as the Nantou Employment Center and the Youth Career Development Center, to seek job matching and career counseling services, thus continuously creating a more friendly employment environment for Nantou's youth.
