This time, we led students from Caotun Vocational High School to explore Nantou's local specialty industries. Through on-site visits and experiences, they gained a deeper understanding of the diverse possibilities for local revitalization, agricultural development, and career exploration.
In the morning, we visited the Taomi Leisure Agriculture Area. Special thanks to Chairperson Li Yingying for her enthusiastic explanation, from the reconstruction process after the 921 earthquake to how Taomi community combined ecological resources, tourism, and local characteristics to create today's vibrant community. This allowed the students to see the effort and perseverance behind local development.
Afterwards, led by a professional guide, the students walked into the stream and natural environment, embarking on a fish and shrimp ecology exploration. The sunny weather, combined with the cool stream water and the sounds of insects and birds, allowed everyone to immerse themselves in nature. During the process, they not only learned about many different types of fish and shrimp, but also observed protected frogs up close, transforming textbook knowledge into a real and profound experience.
