Riding into Puli this morning, we discovered that this small town holds far more stories than we had imagined!
For this Nantou corporate career visit,
we accompanied students from the International Trade Program at the Affiliated High School of National Chi Nan University
to visit "Shun Qi Zi Ran" (Ride Naturally) in Puli. It was a chance to explore the local area and industries—and rediscover Puli itself—in a unique way.
The event kicked off with Chen Ju-kai, the founder of Shun Qi Zi Ran, sharing insights with the students—
covering everything from Puli’s local characteristics and cycling culture to the process of transforming "cycling" into a tourism experience and a local industry.
It turns out that a bicycle is more than just a means of transport; it can weave together local stories, the natural environment, tourism, and local revitalization.
After the presentation, it was time to actually head out and see things for ourselves! 🙌
The students cycled through Puli together,
passing vast fields of water caltrops and the magnificent, beautiful Dimu Temple, before finally arriving at a natural spring hidden within the town.
