Nantou NEXT⁺ Lab: "Itinerary Design & Local Branding—From Local Stories to Operational Practice" – A Review of Outcomes 🗺️✨

Beyond the wealth of insights gained, we also came to realize that...

in Nantou, the stories embedded within indigenous communities, local industries, shops, and the people themselves

can become the most memorable highlights of a journey. 🌈

Starting from the concept of "place,"

we explored how to curate and connect the stories and resources scattered across the land, transforming them into well-managed itineraries rich in content and immersive experiences. 🌟

🍀 Morning Session | Manager Jin Yi-chen, Nantou County Indigenous Zhuoshui Bunun Forestry and Labor Cooperative

From tribal resources to the rhythms of local daily life

Drawing on practical examples from indigenous communities in Xinyi Township—such as Shuanglong and Dili—Manager Jin illustrated that creating a tour itinerary involves far more than just stringing together scenic spots; it encompasses guiding, hospitality, hands-on experiences, labor coordination, and active community participation. 🌱

A truly great local itinerary allows travelers to do more than just "visit"; it invites them to step into the local world and genuinely understand the life and culture of the land. 🪄🪄

⭐ Afternoon Session | Founder Wei Chao-ting, Walkin' Taiwan

Drawing on brand management expertise,

the session used case studies, discussions, and interactive activities to guide participants in considering key aspects of tour development: productization, target audiences, pricing, promotion, and brand positioning.
