Did you know? A tiny tea leaf can do so much more than just brew a great cup of tea—
it can inspire brand design, cultural experiences, and even serve as a starting point for young people returning home to launch their own ventures!
Recently, the Nantou County Youth Development Office guided first-year students from the Advertising Design Department of National Nantou Senior Commercial Vocational School
on a journey into the world of "Mountain Tea Studies." Beginning with an introduction to the local tea industry in Nantou, the students embarked on a learning adventure that blends tea culture, creative design, and career exploration.
Stepping into the tea gardens to hand-pick "one bud and two leaves."
Beyond learning about how tea grows, the different varieties, and harvesting techniques, the students ventured directly into the tea fields. They learned to identify and pluck "one bud and two leaves," gaining a firsthand appreciation for the precision and expertise required in a tea farmer’s daily work.
As a special touch, each student even got to select a tea plant of their own,
transforming this little memento from the tea garden into a one-of-a-kind, tea-themed souvenir bookmark.
