🏞️💄The Youth Artisan Exploration Event on August 27, 2015, concluded successfully!
This time, we led young people on a one-day, two-stop tour to Shuili and Jiji in Nantou, exploring two distinct yet equally passionate industries. From village regeneration to the aesthetics of botanical living, we embarked on a sensory journey that combined local revitalization with industrial careers.
📍Morning | Shuili First Public Market × Village Impression Co., Ltd.
We began with a guided tour of the Shuili market, wandering among the stalls, listening to vendors share stories about their ingredients and observing the new vitality brought about by the renovation of the space. The young people discovered that the market is more than just a place for trading; it is also a vital hub for preserving memories and connecting with the community.
Then we visited Village Impression Co., Ltd. and heard how the team brings community stories to life through design, curation, branding, and partnerships with merchants. Through these sharing sessions, the young people gained an understanding of the practical process of placemaking and began to reflect on how their own creativity and expertise can respond to local needs and create change.
📍Afternoon | Herbal Biotechnology Park
Visiting a cosmetics park built from plants, the participants were pleasantly surprised to discover that skincare products could actually be made in Nantou! 🌿💧
From natural plant extracts and additive-free skincare to contract manufacturing for brands, the young people witnessed firsthand how natural science, design, and industrial innovation merge, broadening their imagination and understanding of the future workplace.
👀Through this full day of experience, the young people not only saw the diverse landscape of local industries but also moved closer to their own aspirations for life, career, and entrepreneurship.
