Adam Lin, the owner of "SISIL Xixing Tea Tasting," is a brand that uses digital technology and innovative marketing to build a connection between smart tea gardens, self-production and sales, and tea garden tourism, enabling the tea industry to drive the development of the local community and achieve mutual benefit.
The Qilai Mountain Tea Garden is the culmination of my father-in-law's more than 30 years of hard work. My father-in-law, a Paiwan, traveled to Lushan in Nantou for love of tea and personally cultivated it the year my wife was born. Two years ago, my father-in-law passed away, and the tea garden faced the crisis of abandonment. Unable to bear seeing my father-in-law's life's work go to waste, my wife and I resolutely returned to our hometown at the end of 2024 to take over and invest in the upgrading and transformation of Taiwan's high-mountain tea industry.
With an engineering degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Taiwan University and 13 years of R&D and management experience in the technology industry, I have integrated the data-driven thinking of an engineer into my family's more than 30 years of tea-making skills. We have introduced a microclimate and soil sensing Internet of Things (IoT) system into our tea garden to achieve precise management through smart agriculture. At the same time, we have broken through traditional frameworks and innovatively developed the high-value-added "Premium Qilai Tea Cake". This sentiment spanning two generations has also shone on the international stage - the tea produced won the grand prize at the 2025 AVPA World Tea Competition in France, allowing the pure flavor of the high mountains to reach the world.
