The county government held the "Indigenous Youth Creative Power Unlimited - Entrepreneurship and Industry Learning Forum" at a leisure resort in Fenghuatai, Puli today (18th), attracting many partners who are concerned about indigenous issues as well as representatives from central and local industries, governments and academia to participate. Xinyi Township, Ren'ai Township and Yuchi Township are the main aboriginal townships in Nantou, with five major ethnic groups: the Bunun, Atayal, Seediq, Thao and Tsou. In recent years, the county government has been committed to improving employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in aboriginal townships, and established the Youth Development Institute this year (114) to focus on youth issues, hoping to attract aboriginal youth to return and become a driving force for innovation and development of aboriginal tribes, thereby driving local industrial development.

The event invited Wang Jiaxun, chairman of the East Coast Tribal Industry Promotion and Development Association, who has been stationed in Nanfeng community for a long time and cares about tribal affairs, and Song Fanggu, the head of the Slow Noon Kitchen, which combines modern and indigenous food design, to share the entrepreneurial practice experience of indigenous youth and briefly talk about the characteristics of indigenous food culture; and Pan Guancheng, the minimally invasive cultural project manager of Fantxi who is engaged in site revitalization, to give a keynote speech and workshop discussion. We hope that through sharing by speakers from different fields and interactive lectures and co-creation workshops on various topics, we can delve into the core of indigenous issues and create diverse possibilities for indigenous youth to imagine the future.

The three lectures on the day were themed "Sharing of Practical Experience of Aboriginal Youth Entrepreneurship", "Future Vision of Cultural Preservation and Site Revitalization" and "A Brief Discussion on the Characteristics and Opportunities of Aboriginal Food Culture". Wang Jiaxun shared his experience of facing tribal issues after returning to his hometown, exploring tribal characteristics and starting a business; Pan Guancheng cited many examples of site activation on the issue of site activation, allowing participants to rethink the inheritance and development of Aboriginal space in modern society; finally, Song Fanggu shared his own experience in running a slow lunch kitchen, and through an inclusive cooking method, he brought out the characteristics of Aboriginal food culture and explored potential opportunities for future development.

In the afternoon workshop, led by three lecturers, participants reflected on the opportunities and challenges faced by themselves and their hometowns on topics such as "The current employment situation and challenges of hometown youth", "The combination of hometown food culture and innovative industries" and "Exploring field brands and innovation opportunities", and stimulated visions for returning home in the future and possible solutions. Finally, the Youth Development Institute and the Urban, Rural and Environmental Foundation shared the various policy supports of the government's investment of resources and incentive mechanisms, and hoped to accompany young people on their journey to return to or stay in their hometowns through the means of local revitalization.

This forum not only promoted the public's understanding and recognition of Aboriginal culture, but also provided a valuable communication platform for promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and cultural preservation. The county government will continue to work with all sectors on Aboriginal issues and invest more resources and support.
