🌱 Nantou youth set out with fresh ideas! "Turning Stone into Gold 3.0" heads to Yunlin in search of answers ✨
"How would they handle this if they were in a different location?"
With this question in mind, young people from Nantou headed to Gukeng, Yunlin! 🚀
This edition of the "Turning Stone into Gold" project took youth on an off-site learning tour. From intergenerational collaboration, local revitalization, and eco-friendly agriculture to ecological conservation, they observed, inquired, and engaged in hands-on activities every step of the way!
👣 Visited Mayuan Community to see how young returnees connect the community, the elderly, and local farmers
🌾 Explored the Liu Family Tobacco Drying House and the Dutch-era Well, rediscovering rural stories and local heritage
🌿 Learned about organic farming, eco-friendly cultivation, and land restoration, while reflecting on possibilities for local sustainability
🐸 Ventured into the bamboo forest to understand the coexistence of the bamboo shoot industry and the habitat of the *Rhacophorus arvalis* (Zhu-luo tree frog)
♻️ Crafted "bamboo biochar packs" from surplus bamboo materials, experiencing the circular reuse of agricultural resources!
This journey was about more than just "seeing how others do things"; it was about bringing those experiences back to Nantou and asking:
