🍫 Project: A Flavor Verse from the Local Terroir: Launching the Cocoa Tasting Journey
🌱 "Starting from a bite of chocolate, rediscover the terroir of Nantou." Nantou has been the second-largest cocoa-producing region in Taiwan for years. From Mingjian, Zhushan, and Shuili to Guoxing, Caotun (Niaozuitan), and Nantou City, cocoa cultivation can be found throughout the county. While local chocolate brands have frequently graced the international stage, compared to world-renowned production areas:
👉 "MIT (Made in Taiwan) Nantou Chocolate" is still a hidden gem waiting to be truly discovered by many. 🍃 The Project’s Starting Point This project centers on "Cocoa Flavor × Local Lifestyle." It explores how to bridge the industry chain from the farm to daily life, helping more people understand the value of Nantou’s eco-friendly, low-pesticide (or pesticide-free), and Fair Trade cocoa.
🍫 The journey begins in Caotun. The project will connect multiple youth brands and cross-domain partners—such as local florists and specialty cafes—to co-create two cocoa-tasting events that blend sensory experience, aesthetics, and flavor. We aim to transform chocolate from a mere commodity into a "lifestyle proposal."
