Fun with Food: Suili & Jiji Exploration Adventure!
The event kicked off on Sunday, November 10, bringing together young participants from across the county. From the moment they boarded the tour bus on a beautiful Sunday morning, an in-depth journey of discovery began!
Morning: Suili Adventure
The first stop was Suili Train Station, where, due to the train suspension, participants had a rare chance to enjoy the scenic beauty. A big thank you to #Suili Township Mayor for joining us and encouraging the youth! After an inspiring speech, teams were divided for an exciting 9-grid challenge. The goal? Complete two bingo lines in the shortest time across Suili (morning) and Jiji (afternoon) to win first place!
With support from #County Magistrate Hsu Shu-hua, #Nantou Youth Development, #Jiji Township Office, #Suili Township Office, and #Ben Cao Natural Tourism Factory, prizes were generously packed—ensuring everyone went home a winner!
During the morning, teams walked through Suili, discovering local culture and landscapes, such as Baodao Hotel's mirror calligraphy couplets, Xie’s famous meatballs, and hydroelectric power sites. By noon, participants gathered at Suili First Market for a break—don't forget to check out the #Suili Film Festival on the 2nd floor! Special thanks to #Suili Pit Business District & Hakka Cultural Association for their morning activity support—it was an absolute blast!
Afternoon: Jiji Adventure
A heartfelt thanks to #Jiji Township Office Tourism Section for motivating the youth as we headed to Jiji Kart Racing Track for an action-packed afternoon. The first challenge? Baseball tic-tac-toe and sandbag toss! The owner joked that if we paid per round, he’d be rich—our aim was that unpredictable!
Next, participants rented bicycles and pedaled through Suili Tourism District, Tanji Café, Wuchang Temple, Mingzhi Academy, and more, uncovering Jiji's hidden gems. Some opted for e-bikes (a secret weapon for speed!), ensuring they kept up with the competition.
Finally, at #Ben Cao Natural Tourism Factory, the awards ceremony wrapped up the day. Regardless of the results, everyone left with prizes, unforgettable experiences, and full hearts. Huge thanks to #Jiji Business District Tourism Association for planning the afternoon activities—it was truly amazing!
Returning home, we were overwhelmed by the postcards and messages from participants, all eager for next year’s event. Thanks to everyone for supporting #Nantou Youth Development—we promise an even more immersive, five-sense experience next year!
