National Filial Piety Model Selection
The Ministry of the Interior is conducting the selection for the National Filial Piety Models. According to the 2026 National Filial Piety Award Implementation Plan, nominees submitted for the preliminary selection must meet the following criteria:
Selection Categories
Long-term Caregiving Group: Those who have dedicated themselves to the long-term care of parents or senior relatives with tireless effort.
Resource Utilization Group: Those who utilize long-term care or other social resources to care for disabled parents or senior relatives, and who actively encourage or help them rebuild, recover, or maintain their self-care abilities.
Support and Fulfillment Group: Those who maintain the physical health of parents or senior relatives, attend to their emotional needs to bring them joy, and further encourage and assist them in achieving self-actualization.
Collaborative Effort Group: Family members who work together to care for parents or senior relatives, fostering emotional bonds and unity to maintain a harmonious household.
Honoring Parents and Promoting Filial Piety Group: Those who promote the virtuous deeds of their parents to highlight their contributions to society; or those who extend their personal care for parents/senior relatives to their neighborhood and community, enthusiastically providing assistance for the public to emulate.
