In order to promote the development of local industries and encourage young people to settle down in their hometowns, the Nantou County Government has launched two major "Youth Investment Path" projects, from workplace internships to stable employment, to comprehensively assist young people in strengthening their workplace competitiveness, while helping companies cultivate and retain outstanding talents.

The first "Workplace Internship Reward and Transportation Subsidy Program" will connect local companies in Nantou to provide summer internship opportunities from July to August this year, helping young people get in touch with the workplace in advance and accumulate practical experience. Internship units can receive a maximum of NT$12,000 in rewards. In addition to receiving industry salaries, young people with outstanding performance have the opportunity to be recruited by companies. In addition, the county government also provides young people with transportation rewards during their internships, up to NT$2,000 per month, to reduce the burden of commuting. It is worth mentioning that for young people who meet the low-income or lower-middle-income qualifications, their internship income and transportation subsidies will not be included in the calculation of the total household income in 2015.

The internship program is open to young people aged 16 to 29 who are currently studying in high schools, colleges and universities across the country, or non-school and unemployed young people registered in Nantou County. This is a rare opportunity and aspiring young people are encouraged to actively participate.

Another "Youth Stable Employment Incentive Program" focuses on young people of Nantou nationality who are between 18 and 29 years old and are not currently studying. Whether they are staying in their hometown for development, returning to their hometown for work, or newly immigrating to Nantou, as long as they have been registered in the county and employed in the same business unit for three consecutive months since January 1, 2014, they can apply for a 6,000 yuan incentive; those who have been employed for six consecutive months can receive another 6,000 yuan, with a total incentive of up to 12,000 yuan. The application period for the program ends on December 10, 2015. The number of places is limited. If the funds are used up in advance, a separate announcement will be made.

Both programs can be applied for online through the "Nantou County Government Online e-Counter" from now on. The county government sincerely invites young friends and local businesses to seize the opportunity to inject new impetus into Nantou's industries and create a new situation for youth development.
