In a place without a sea, sound can still serve as a waterway. Produced by the Nantou County Government, the podcast "Nantou Fishing Port" launches its brand-new season today, Friday, May 8, 2026. Continuing its unique tradition of audio storytelling, the program connects youth perspectives, local stories, and public issues to build an "imaginary fishing port" for Nantou. We invite listeners to step on board once again and embark on a journey of dialogue between Nantou’s youth and the land.

Bridging Voices and Action

This season covers a wide range of topics, including youth entrepreneurship, rural revitalization, cultural activism, and public participation. Through authentic stories and shared experiences, the show illustrates how young people pursue their ideals and respond to the challenges of our time within Nantou.

The County Government stated that "Nantou Fishing Port" serves as a dialogue platform between the government and the younger generation. Through interviews, thematic discussions, and the exchange of viewpoints, the program aims to establish a two-way communication mechanism. This encourages youth to transition from "listeners" to "participants," ensuring their feedback and insights become vital references for future policy optimization.

Sailing from the Mountains

Director Yang of the Youth Development Office noted that the goal of this new season is to help more people understand Nantou and its youth through sound. By finding their own place within these diverse stories, residents can "navigate through sound" even while living in a mountain city. The new season of "Nantou Fishing Port" is ready to set sail—join us on this journey to discover the boundless possibilities of our local community.
