The Nantou County Government is continuing to promote the "Nantou Youth Employment Incentive Program" in 2026. This initiative aims to encourage young people to stay in their hometown, return home, or relocate to Nantou for employment, while helping local enterprises stabilize their workforce and retain outstanding young talent. Since its launch, the program has received an enthusiastic response from young individuals. Due to the high volume of applications, this year's budget has been fully exhausted. To protect the rights of applicants and ensure fairness, applications are officially closed starting today.
This program targets non-student youth aged 18 to 29 who are registered residents of Nantou County. Those who have been continuously employed by the same business entity in the county for three months or more are eligible to apply for the employment incentive according to regulations. The incentive is distributed in two stages, with a maximum payout of NT$12,000. Through these incentives, combined with policies such as career exploration, summer part-time jobs, and employment matchmaking, the County Government hopes to encourage local youth to secure stable employment and accumulate work experience. Simultaneously, it seeks to work alongside local enterprises to cultivate and retain talent, jointly driving the sustainable development of Nantou’s local industries.
The County Government stated that the program has yielded significant results since its introduction, helping over 200 young people successfully transition into the workplace. As the annual budget has been fully utilized, applications are now closed starting today. For those who have already completed their submissions via the Nantou County Government E-Counter, their documents will be verified and the incentives will be disbursed sequentially; their rights will not be affected. Young friends who have not yet applied are advised to keep an eye on the official website of the Nantou County Government and the Facebook page of the Youth Development Institute for future updates on related programs.
