On November 16, 2014, the Youth Development Institute invited Lin Jiahong from Yuantai Bamboo Art Society to serve as a one-day teacher at National Chushan Senior High School. He gave a wonderful craftsman lecture and made painted bamboo cups. Jiahong's career journey from transforming his military experience into a bamboo art entrepreneur expanded the students' horizons and imagination, and also profoundly interpreted the diversity and environmental significance of bamboo in modern life. He shared the development of innovative products such as bamboo toothbrushes and bamboo straws, emphasizing the entrepreneurial spirit of "only accumulation, no miracles".
In the subsequent bamboo cup painting activity, students used creativity and colors to turn bamboo cups into unique works of art, demonstrating their concern and passion for environmental protection. Each student's work conveyed their respect for nature and made us think about how to choose sustainable and environmentally friendly products in our daily lives.
This event not only enhanced Zhushan High School students’ understanding of bamboo art, but also inspired us to be innovative and practical. We look forward to more opportunities to explore the combination of creativity and environmental protection in the future!
