Vanilla Knight was founded by Chef Zhenglin Wei in 2012, and began to plant vanilla pods in 2013, promoting and using Taiwanese vanilla pods in desserts. Chef Zhenglin Wei was originally an engineer in Taipei, but chose to return home to take care of his mother due to her illness. This opportunity awakened Wei Zhenglin's dream of desserts. Master Wei, who was deeply fascinated by the aroma of vanilla pods, preserved a lot of spiritual research on the history and application of vanilla pods, and obtained technical transfer through the Taoyuan Agricultural Improvement Station, and began to plant vanilla pods "vanilla orchids", opening up another identity of "vanilla" as a "farmer". Chef Wei not only pursues the ultimate flavor of desserts, but also promotes the production of "top vanilla gardens" in Taiwan, making Vanilla Knight "the only dessert chocolate shop in Taiwan with a vanilla garden.".
